NEWSBy Ray Ampoloquio August 29, 2022Nintendo says that it has "no plans" for a Nintendo Switch price hike
Nintendo is joining Microsoft in retaining the price of their flagship consoles.
The final price of the Switch is always determined by retailers but Nintendo has no plans to increase the trade price of its hardware.
At 111 million units sold, it's only a matter of time before the Switch will ellipse the PS4's record of 117.2 million units.
The Switch is poised to take advantage of the PS5's price increase and the Xbox Series S/X's expected stock shortage come the holiday season.
However, it would be better if the Switch got an upgrade.
Hopefully, we'll find out more about the long-rumored mid-gen Switch upgrade as soon as the micro conductor chip shortage ends.
