After a long wait, fans will be happy to hear that there is still hope for a sequel to the post-apocalyptic zombie film, 28 Weeks Later, 15 years later.
New reports have emerged suggesting that Danny Boyle, the director of the original cult classic film 28 Days Later, feels that now is the best time to fully commit to a sequel.
Danny Boyle and scriptwriter Alex Garland made their mark on a dying horror genre that lacked direction and inspiration 20 years ago with the release of 28 Days Later.
28 Weeks Later came after 5 years and did well with critics but didn't pull in quite as big of a haul as the original.
Fast forward to today and the threequel still hasn't come out yet but this revelation might bring good tidings for fans of the franchise.
With the right approach, the 28 Weeks Later sequel could be the film that surpasses all the rest at the box office.
