Virat Kohli England vs India, 1st ODI Kennington Oval, London: The first match of the ODI series between India and England is being played at the Oval in London. For this match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Team India’s legendary player Virat Kohli is not in the playing XI of this match. He has been ruled out due to injury. Captain Rohit Sharma told that Shreyas Iyer will bat at number 3 in place of Kohli. Along with Kohli, Arshdeep Singh has also not got a place in the playing XI.
Kohli was injured during the third match of the T20 series. He had an injury in his back. For this reason, he was out of the first match of the ODI series. Therefore, in his absence, Shreyas will bat at number 3. BCCI tweeted that along with Kohli, Arshdeep has also not been given a place in the playing XI. They too will not be able to play due to strain in one part of the abdomen.
