Harmanpreet Kaur ODI Ranking Team India: Captains Chamari Atapattu and Harmanpreet Kaur took the lead in the new ICC Women’s Player Rankings released on Tuesday after the completion of their three-match ODI series in Pallakele. India registered a 3–0 series sweep during the major 50-over series, it was Sri Lanka’s captain Atapattu who made it to the top 10 list for batsmen. Atapattu hit a quick 44 in the final match of the series last week and it helped the talented 32-year-old reach a career-best eighth position.
India captain Harmanpreet, on the other hand, moved up one place to 13th with her 75-run knock, which helped her clinch 12 ratings points. Kaur took 119 runs and three wickets in the series, earning her the Player of the Series award. At the same time, she has moved up eight places to 71st among bowlers and has jumped four places to 20th among all-rounders.
Other batsmen to move up the rankings include openers Shefali Verma (up three places to 33rd), Yastika Bhatia (up a place to 45th) and Pooja Vastrakar (up eight places to 53rd).
In the bowlers’ rankings, Rajeshwari Gaikwad has gained three places to be joint ninth, while Meghna Singh (up four places to 43rd) and Vastrekar (up two places to joint 48th) have also taken the lead. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Harshita Samarawickrama has moved up one place to 43rd and Nilakshi de Silva has moved up 10 places to 47th. Spinner Inoka Ranvir continued her lead in the bowling list, jumping five places to be ranked 16th.
According to the ICC, the performance in the first match of South Africa’s ODI series in England has also been taken into account in the new ranking update released. South African all-rounder Chloe Tryon has moved up 12 places to 22nd after scoring 88 runs and among bowlers, Nadine de Klerk has moved up two places to 60th. England’s Emma Lamb was named “Player of the Match” for her 102-run knock, progressing 76 places to 101st after her third ODI, while paceman Katherine Brunt’s three for 18 runs After taking the joint ninth place.
